As Co-founder and CTO of Blue Economy Connect, Wilfred leverages his experience in fish farming systems, water quality management, and circular agriculture to co-design youth empowerment programs and promote sustainable livelihoods. His leadership is instrumental in integrating technology and grassroots knowledge to transform traditional aquaculture into resilient and inclusive blue economy models.

Wilfred’s work is grounded in his belief that the future of the blue economy lies in youth-led innovation, practical skills transfer, and collaborative problem-solving. He is committed to reshaping how communities in Ghana and the Global South engage with aquatic resources—for food security, economic empowerment, and ecological restoration.

His combined experience across diverse blue economy sectors, alongside his strong passion for youth empowerment and sustainable development in Ghana and the Global South, led him to pioneer the Blue Economy Connect initiative. Goddey believes innovations would flow, shifting the blue economy when young minds connect, and are given the tools and trust.
