Blue Economy Connect (BEC) is a dynamic platform dedicated to empowering the youth Ghana’s blue economy sector by providing a collaborative space for networking, capacity building, and innovation. BEC serves as a hub where young people, youth leaders, and youth-led organizations connect and network, share ideas and opportunities, co-create impactful projects, and build the skills and capacity needed to drive a sustainable and prosperous blue economy. We believe that when empowered, young people can create solutions that address both their needs & the evolving demands of the sector.
Providing training workshops, webinars, and mentorship programs to equip youth (especially students) with industry-relevant skills.
Engaging in environmental & community impacting projects as well as research & policy advocacy.
Providing access to jobs, internships, scholarships, and other career-enhancing opportunities.
Highlighting & spotlighting youth-led innovations & providing access to needed support.
Connecting early-career professionals across various blue economy sectors for knowledge exchange and partnerships.
Partnering with organizations, policymakers, and research institutions to shape a sustainable blue economy.
