Francisca Etornam Nutakor
Francisca Nutakor is a communications specialist and journalist with a strong passion for amplifying voices within the blue economy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication
Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and currently serves as the Communications and Partnerships Lead at the Chamber of Aquaculture, Ghana. In this role, she leads the creation and dissemination of news articles, manages media relations, and curates compelling narratives that support sustainable aquaculture and fisheries development.
Francisca is the creator and manager of the Chamber’s official WhatsApp channel, which has enhanced real-time information sharing and stakeholder engagement. Her journalism experience includes internships at Starr FM and GHOne TV, where she developed her skills in reporting, storytelling, and broadcast production across a range of beats including education, business, and environmental issues. In addition to her core communication duties, Francisca supports administrative functions and often represents the Chamber in strategic partnerships and advocacy campaigns. Her commitment to inclusive communication, gender equity, and community empowerment underpins her work. As the co-lead of the Communication and Media Team at Blue Economy Connect, Francisca seeks to highlight innovative blue economy initiatives, promote ocean sustainability, and drive impactful storytelling that informs and inspires action.
