Peter is the Ghana Ambassador for the Ocean Love awards initiative. He is founder and CEO of Ocean Rock Base and was an expert member of the Vision 2030 process endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade for sustainable development coordinated by UNESCO/IOC. Peter is Expert Member of the UN Regular Process for World Ocean Assessment III and He is founder and project lead of the Ghana Ocean Climate Innovations Hub, an UN Ocean Decade endorsed project. Peter is the president of the Afrique Ocean Alliance ( Africa Ocean Biodiversity Atlas ) , an UN Ocean decade endorsed project under the Sustainable Ocean Planning Programme coordinated by UNESCO-IOC. Peter was awarded the Global Ocean Tribute award for 2024 and the Ocean awards – Local hero 2025 in recognition of his contributions to the ocean economy.

With his ocean elite networking experience and hence ocean of both local and international connections, Peter leads partnerships development and collaborations at BEC.
